Monday 19th February

4:00 - 7:00pm

Chetwynd Room and Keynes Hall, King's College

** POSTPONED ** Please keep an eye out here or on the Facebook event for more information and the rescheduled date/time!

Zines are a form of self-expression. In their small-circulation and home-made texture, the voice of the individual or community is preserved. As an art form they resist dilution and disempowerment. They give us agency.

Got something that makes you angry? A theme that you love? A story or experience that you want to convey? Just got an itch to collage, create or draw? Well let’s document it.

We will have zine artists and political banner makers to talk through ideas, guide you and inspire you. If you have an idea, no matter how budding, come and share. If you’ve got no idea, come and find one. There will be materials for collaging, drawing and creating, space to explore, extend and mould ideas, and if nothing else, a lovely room to chill and chat in. Next door will also be a quiet breakaway space, where example zines can be read, and you can get creative and do some of your own collaging/drawing/making of posters

This event is free and open to all!
