Mark My Words' is a showcase of new writing from Cambridge's finest female, non-binary, and trans male dramatists. Each piece will be brought to the stage by a troupe of actors and there will be opportunity for the audience to also give feedback the night!

All of the writers have already received personal feedback from three fantastic professional writers who have been kind enough to donate their time and expertise:

Afshan D'souza-Lodhi was 'born in Dubai and bred in Manchester'. Of Indian/Pakistani descent, she writes plays, prose and performance pieces. In the past, she has worked with Z-Arts, Manchester Literature Festival, the Royal Exchange Theatre and Edinburgh Free Fringe Festival. She is currently Deputy Director of Publishing at Dog Horn publishing, New Writing coordinator at Commonword + Cultureword, and is studying for her MA in Postcolonial Literatures and Cultures at Manchester University. Her work has been produced at Theatre 503 and the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court. She works in a stream of consciousness lyrical style with a focus on punchy human stories.
